Shirazi Investments (Pvt) Limited (SIL), the parent company of the Atlas Group, started operations in 1962. It is engaged in the capital market, fund management, underwriting, real estate, and private equity investments. The Company plays a key role in sponsoring the acquisition of Group projects.
Atlas Autos (now Atlas Honda) was the first company sponsored by SIL in 1963. Subsequently, Atlas Battery was sponsored in 1966 and Shirazi Trading Company (Pvt) Limited in 1973. SIL acquired Muslim Insurance (now Atlas Insurance) in 1980 and Allwin Engineering (now Atlas Engineering) in 1981
In 1992, the Company sponsored Honda Atlas Cars in coordination with Honda Motor Co. to manufacture Honda Cars. The association was further strengthened by the establishment of Honda Atlas Power Product in 1997.
In 2002, the Company sponsored Atlas Asset Management Company Limited to float mutual and pension funds.
Atlas Energy was formed in 2016 to provide alternative energy solutions. The Company's latest initiative is a 100MW solar plant in the renewable space.
In the auto parts space, the Group initiated Atlas Autos in 2011, Atlas Hitec in 2012, and Atlas DID and Atlas GCI in 2019. Atlas Autos merged into Atlas Engineering in 2025.
The Company has also set up a few entities outside Pakistan to explore new avenues for Group products and source raw materials and machinery from all over the world.
Besides its important roles as the Parent Company, Shirazi Investments, as the principal Shareholder, advises, guides, and directs Group policies.
